Landscape gardener branding and business card designs

Setting up as an independent landscape garden designer, Jamie Allinson needed some initial branding for his business.

As is often the case, the first item Jamie needed were business cards. But it's important to make sure that the decisions you make early on will be versatile enough to be used in whatever other situations you might need first down the line.

We started out trying a few different options before settling on a classic, condensed serif typeface that's available in a couple of different weights. It's also available for free as a web font, which will allow us to be consistent online if and when Jamie needs a website.

For the simple logotype, we decided to stick with all caps and used a green key line to separate Jamie's name and Landscapes in the business name.

We used the same green as the colour for a tree graphic on the right-hand side of the card and a solid colour on the reverse.

As well as the business cards, I provided all the assets that Jamie needs to make sure he can use the same branding consistently on the quotes and invoices produced from his accounting software.
